Well I have been gone from this group for a couple years. Life threw some curves, had to sell off the flock and move into an apartment. Well good news. Got a mortgage in the works. Moving back to a small country place on 2 acres so time to start planning my new coop!
So I think that since the mornings are chilly it gives me a good excuse to sit down and get back into the community here LOL. Started out by getting birds a year ago, first just 5 then more now I am up to 40! I have a broody hen, finally! I had a friend that test hatched some of my eggs for me...
Whew its been awhile everyone, I have been without my chickens for a month since I moved. Tonight I am going to attempt to move them to my new house! Cross your fingers!
I don't know what they were but I would probably use DE if you wanted to get rid of them...Love the hoop, the girls (human) stood in it while it rained today. Wanted a pic LOL Crazy kids!
Looking for a wyandotte roo. I have a columbian and love him. I am in Millington (thumb) and will not be able to make it to CS. Please let me know what you have

Yesterday I converted my horse fencing to run off a car battery. I am thinking that I will move the location of the fence charger so that I can also then run some lights to the coop. Not heat ones but just so I can see after dark. I haven't had electricity at all in my coop and it sure would be...
No TM I don't but will keep an eye out. I will get some pics tonight for ya Silly. I am a little nervous about the birthing process... Somehow I have always missed the horses birthing so I have never dealt with it... Owner said that she has always done it alone though so crossing my fingers.
So we have been toying with gettting goats for a few months. Well, today during my daily Craigslist check I found a Nubian/Fainting doe, already bred to a Nubian buck, ready to birth in the next few weeks... she was FREE! So Guess where I went LOL
