    A whooping 11 right now in Dillon. We got about 7 inches of snow in the past 30 hours. It's high desert-like here and this is very rare. I'm used to Bozeman, where I lived for the past 8 years. Roads are OK in town. But it's way better by the fire!

    Karla, I got the sex links from a guy in Belgrade. He has WAY TOO MANY, and they are rather sad looking, but feel they will be good in the end. When I went to get em, his son said "just let us know if you want more". So I am sure he'd give you some too! My coop was built in the early 1920's...

    Urgent Reminder-PLEASE Quarantine Newly Acquired Birds!

    Just got some rescue hens. Lots of missing feathers, but otherwise look OK. And of course I did NOT read this before adding them to my existing flock... Is it too late to quarantine? Have I royally screwed up and if so, what should I be looking for in my other hens in the next few weeks...

He ranches cattle and hay and this chicken house has been sitting here staring at me for months. And I give him the sad puppy dog look all the time . LOL...
