Flies, Flies, Flies, and MORE flies!! Please help

I had really bad flies and here is what worked for me. Fly bags are great but remember they are an attractant and have to be paced to draw the flies away from your coops otherwise you end up with all the flies in the neighborhood. They get expensive too and really gross when the flies inside...

    all who are hatching quail

I had the most remarkable time Sunday night. I had set 100 quail eggs in my still air hovabator on quail rails, then moved the to a homemade hatcher Friday morning at day 14. Sunday night they started popping out faster than I could count them. I gave up counting at 80 but I think only a few...

I put 7 serama eggs on the quail tray but they were too heavy to turn so I had to hand turn them. They fit, though and I got 2 chicks.

    which incubator do you use

By far, the best of my 3 bators is the r-com. Brinea mini is so so, Jano is better and holds more. When I recently got too many quail eggs I piled em in, will see if they hatch!

Anyone keeping city guineas in Miami?

I want some as my husband is a great afficianado of pentard--french for guinea fowl-roast. How do you manage the noise and predators, assuming there are some out there. We have a great number of feral cats in the neighborhood, how protected are the guineas from them. I can build a roost for...
