    "Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Yes, and from what I've been told, the young ones are more likely to deliver a full venom load... but I have no proof to back this up. :P One of my dogs was bit by a moc once. It was not an issue, no swelling or anything... it was "dry" bite. So I guess there may be some truth to it.

Yep, that's a young moc. If anyone ever needs something identified, just let me know. I've worked with reptiles extensively. Just post or message me. As long as it's a decent pic (and the snake is still alive), I'll be happy to ID it for you. :)

I have been missing for a bit, too... that thing called life gets in the way, I suppose. I lost another furbaby a couple weeks ago. That makes 2 dogs I had to say goodbye to in just over 6 months. :( With everything going on, I finally had enough with trying to get my condo ready to sell and...

That's an awesome idea. You should look into getting some purslane seed, too. Purslane is reported to be the plant with the highest source of omega3 fatty acids. Would be great for your eggs! It can be hard to track down as it is mostly considered a weed. I found a packet at Louisiana...

Congrats NOLA Chicks and kuntrygirl on your new fuzz balls!! I can't wait to move, all these baby pics are pure torture. LOL. Did anyone take pics at the Jennings show? I made myself stay home. I patched my popcorn ceiling. *groans* I figured the sooner I'm out, the sooner I can get my...

    "Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

And now for my next trick... Most people don't know that you can actually hold these guys with no problems. Kids will shriek and think you have crazy super powers... adults just think you've had one too many... LOL. As long as you don't break the spines, you're good to go. If you look...

And if anyone does relocate to a subdivision, check with your HOA, too. They may not allow chickens.

Here's a link to the ordinances. Basically, if you are in a subdivision and under 1 acre, you are restricted to 3 hens. If you are between 1 and 2 acres, I read it as no number on the hens. If you are over 2 acres, have fun!! LOL. If your property is listed as a rural tract, restrictions...

2012 Mazda2 Sport... It's not what I originally wanted, but I couldn't resist. It's my favorite color... Yes, it is very, very BLUE! It's in transit. Here's a stock photo. I will never have that "where's-my-car-in-the-parking-lot" feeling ever again. LOL

I most certainly would have quit, too! Crazy lady. It's not about being soft-hearted, it's called being humane.

    "Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Since the nest was made inside a grill, my first guess would be Wren, second would be Starling... but they all look the same to me at that age. LOL. My insurance company ended up totalling out my Saturn from that hit and run a month ago. I finally found a car I wanted and wrote out a down...

    Monsanto

Nor mine! I didn't believe the anti-hype either. I graduated in agriculture. Why were people against Monsanto? So the more I researched, the more sickened I became. The documentary below shows Monsanto's effects around the world. It's almost 2 hours long, a bit slow, but it is definitely...

Sand in the brooder -- it's worth it!

Depending on the brand, reptile sand is probably even safer. I know Zoo Med's sand is all natural, chemical and dye free. Some people like to keep their desert reptiles on sand because it looks natural and encourages normal burrowing behavior. The problem with sand is that reptiles can...
