those tiny bugs is killing me. the size of my left ear is bigger than the right, 4 big bumps on the back of my neck, 1 bump on my right temple, 2 on my neck and countless bumps on my head. they are worser than mosquitos, my DF is laughing at me when I showed her my ears LOL.
how old is your game rooster that you will introducing to the other flocks? if he still a young stag then I would just introduced him into the crowd, at first they will go at each other but after a while they will get used to each other. They might stop fighting if u spray them with water hose...
looks like your chickens have come down with CRD diseases, if u have large flock you could use Tylan (water solubled) type, since you have 15 left you could use Tylan 50 feed thru oral .3cc twice a day for several days you should see a better result.
you can try Tylan 50 .5cc thru oral twice daily for 3days you should see a good result, I've very goodluck with Tylan50. If you want Oxine try Amazon, they got the best price.
this morning 3 neighbor dogs came over my property tried to kill my chickens, my cousin went out chased them with BB gun and they fled. I drove over and talk to them nicely about their dogs has been over my property tried to kill my chickens. I don't want to kill those dogs, I know it's not...
are there anybody out there have double electric fences from the chicken coop or runs area to keep the predators out. If yes, how's that work out?
Thanks in advance,
No more pellets for me also. Once I bought a bag of purina pellet, I thought since it is pricier than regular mix grain the chicken would jump on it. NOPE, they just staring at it and walk away.
I don't think the comb is getting from fighting, if it's fighting it would look worser than that. Bob, I think your rooster got CRD. Give him Tylan 50, twice a day for 3 or 4days. He should recover nicely.
Tylan 50 .5cc once a day will take longer than you thought. I gave mine 1cc, twice a day for 4days, and wash their eyes with Saline washer to they could open their eyes and be able to eat and drink. Works for me
sorry for your loss, but at least you got the coon. I've killed 3 raccoons and 2 Opossums in the past week. I'm thinking about put up fence and electric fence after snow melt
To keep the mites down in the nest box, put chunk of a lemon grass leaves in first and put hays or straws on top of it. It sure keep the mites problem down, especially for folks in the zone 7 to 10.
