I just hatched out some isabelle leghorn chicks and thought I'd share.

I borrowed a friends octagon once (when I "accidentally" bought too many hatching eggs) I did side by side hatches in my mini and her octagon and I had a much better hatch out of my mini. I've been very pleased with it...and because it's small it keeps me from setting two dozen eggs at a time :D

If you shine the light into the air sac, look for some veining close to the edges and I would say it's safe to assume they are developing nicely. If you can't see veins, wait a few days and look to see if the blob has grown. The farther along they develop the harder it is to see. At that point...
