My little baby chick can't walk!

Thank you to all of you for your comments! I ended up putting a band-aid around it legs yesterday and put it in a small bowl. It was funny how the other chicks pushed the chick out and hoarded the bowl! They loved it! But anyways, with coaching it and everything, it is now standing on its...

My little baby chick can't walk!

It doesn't seem to have splay (as its decribed). I will try the tea cup idea, that sounds good! The other chicks are cuddling with him and laying on top of him, so that may help in more ways than one.

2 day old chick that won't stand on its own!

I have a 2 day old chick that will not stand on its own. It's healthy. While holding it, it had a bm/urine. It will kick and push off my hand. I will stand it up and put my fingers on the sides of it to give it a chance to get its balance and stand. It will, and I thought I was making...

    Candling Eggs

I see in a lotof the pictures on here, there are veins running through the egg. I have candled mine and there are dark shadows for most of the egg, but no veins. We are going on day 5 now. Is this normal? They are brown eggs from Buff Orpingtons.

Im new to all of this and I need some help!

I got an incubator and eggs from a lady. She kept the eggs at 60 degrees for less than a day before she gave them to me. I had the incubator set up but only at 95 degrees. The humidity wasn't where it should have been either. This is day 3, is it too early to candle the eggs? They are Buff...

    New hatcher needing advice

A lady gave me an incubator to use and she gave us 14 eggs to hatch with it. She kept the eggs at 60 degrees (im thinking for a day) until she gave them to me. When I got home the incubator was at 95, but I put the eggs in anyway. At day 2 I finally got the temp to 99.5 and the humidity...
