My English Orpington Rooster sounds like he is snoring. He looks great otherwise. He is walking around very slowly. When I went to catch him and isolate him, he did try to get away from me. Any ideas?

I have given the girls 15 hours of light all winter. They are feed layers feed, 6 grain scratch, oyster shell, organic yogurt with flax seed about every three days or so.
I got 12 Buff Orpington hens a year ago. By fall they were laying 1 egg a day each. They are now laying 6 eggs a day. Should their egg production be back up by this time of year, or do I have 6 hens that have dcided not to lay?
I have the same thing with one of my Buff Orpingtons. I would love to hear what people have to say about the comb and flesh parts turning pale in color and won't eat.
