I got 12 Buff Orpington hens a year ago. By fall they were laying 1 egg a day each. They are now laying 6 eggs a day. Should their egg production be back up by this time of year, or do I have 6 hens that have dcided not to lay?

Make sure they are receiving a healthy diet along with calcium, fresh, clean water, exercise, and make sure there isn't anything wrong with the nests. If you didn't provide light during the winter they may be slower starting up again. Also, every year they age they also start decreasing. But hopefully they will lay those wonderful eggs for you again soon:)

I have given the girls 15 hours of light all winter. They are feed layers feed, 6 grain scratch, oyster shell, organic yogurt with flax seed about every three days or so.

No they aren't molting. I have 6 hens that have the feathers broken on their backs from the rooster, so they are sporting hen saddles.
