Hi All,
Has anyone had this happen to them? I have found on two different occasions what appears to be maggots at the bottom of my chickens water bowl. They are small tan worms-definitely look like maggots. they are still alive in the water. I'm grossed out and don't know what to do. I am...
Hi yes. I got all my chicks from Wayne. He's great. Very helpful. I have never had any issues with their health or anything. He always has Easter Eggers. Let me know what you get. Good luck.
I'm dealing with the same unfortunate issue. I'm trying Dr Brooners peppermint castile shampoo now. I'm going to mix it with water and try to flush them out. My next step is to use DE and Severn dust everywhere. I'm freaked out. I hope they will not harm my chickens. And can these voles be...

I'm having the exact same problem and I'm loosing my mind. I found little poops in my nesting boxes. I'm grossed out. My chicken run is plenty big for my seven hens. It's divided up into sections. These holes are everywhere. I'm going to try the chunx bait.

I use cayenne pepper to help boost egg production. The object of them eating the hot pepper flavor is that it also promotes water intake. They can't taste the heat of the pepper but it urges them to drink by increasing their thirst.
You should take one of their eggs a plastic egg or a golf ball and place it in the nesting boxes. Keep them confined in the nest box area if you can. They will get into the correct routine. Good luck.
She probably passed a thin shelled egg or the possibly the rest of the egg that could have been causing her issue. I'm sure she will be fine. I would give her some yogurt and ACV in her water. Get the Braggs Apple Cider Vinager with Mother. Keep us posted.
I use cayenne pepper as a boost start to my hens egg laying all the time. I use it on my Broody EE and it works. I usually give a good coating to their food or I add it to their wet bread treat. Always two days after my hens lay again. My hens are about three years old. Hope this helps...
