@ Kuntry girl-- i have no idea! lol but i was told by a lady i have been following (she blogs) and she said several times to use sillica free sand... but i havnt heard anyone else use/find sillica free. so im trying to find out what kind of sand is most used.... i just dont want to hurt...

is the play sand ok for the chickens? i was once told sand had to be sillica free (and no where on the bag does it metion sillica stupid bags ) i want to use sand but i dont want to pay an arm for it or get the wrong kind....

I have a golden polish who just started this morning ( she is only a week) picking at her wing and around her vent, she had pasty butt when I got her but it is cleared up now, no sign of mites or lice, but she is acting droopy and very sleepy now Any chance that could just be new feathers...
