Well, the babies FINALLY hatched!!! Only 3 chicks, but that's better than none! The mommas are co parenting and all seems to be going well. So exciting to see the babies out and about and not under a heat lamp in my house!!!

My hen Penny had 4 eggs under her also. I did mark them but then over the next few days, I noticed our egg production was way down from the other girls. After 3 days of this, I finally moved Penny over and she has 15 eggs under her now. Guess I'll wait and candle them in a few days and see...

Do yours have puffy cheeks? All of my Easter Eggers had sort of chipmunk looking cheeks! I'm not sure if all do, but mine did. And all of my girls had a pea comb of sorts. You're girls are pretty though. I miss the baby stage!!

Well, I am very excited. I set 7 Black Copper Marans eggs and we are finally at lock down today. This is our very first time to try hatching our eggs. Can't wait to see how it goes!!!
