This is really helpful. Thank you for taking the time to respond and also sending me the link to your alternative Valbazen dosing method. I will give the Z Gold a try asap.

Tapeworm - Valbazen Ineffective - Graphic Poo Video Attached

So, sorry for the graphic poo video. I had to make sure with some fellow BYCers I wasn't looking at something else and calling it "tapeworm." I will try the more frequent administration this time around.

Tapeworm - Valbazen Ineffective - Graphic Poo Video Attached

I noticed Tapeworm segments in my chickens poo several weeks ago. After researching all the threads here on BYC about tapeworm treatments, I decided to purchase pricey Valbazen from my local vet. I have fours girls, so I treated them all at the same time. I gave each chicken .5ml in a syringe...

    Cochin Thread!!!

I got such a kick out of your video. Cochins are the best! Nice camera work, BTW. Were you using a glide cam?

Nothing cuter than a cochin. This is Opal. She may not be quite show quality, but she is such a cutie!! I just hope she decides it's time to lay some eggs soon :)

    The Wyandotte Thread

Thanks, Delisha. She does have yellow between her toes and on the bottoms of her feet. She IS definitely fluffy and cochin-looking. I too, like that look. I will try to take some more decent photos of her showing her chest and tail better. I appreciate your input on her comb in regards to...

    The Wyandotte Thread

I think I found my answer in another thread... Probably just not ideal breeding, right? She is still a Wyandotte.

    The Wyandotte Thread

Here is a photo of Ruby, my Blue Wyandotte. I bought her from a breeder in July, and according to what I was told, she is now about 36 weeks old. Question: Aren't Wyandottes supposed to have yellow legs? Do her dark legs suggest she might be a mix? Still have not gotten any eggs out of her...

When do Wyandottes generally start laying?

I think that might be me. My BW is 36 weeks and nothing so far. I haven't given up hope

At what age do Black Australorps begin to lay their first eggs???

That is great news, and it cheers me up to know she waited until 29 weeks. Mine is 27, but her comb is not nearly as red as your beautiful girl. I will try to be more patient :)

No Eggs From Any of My Girls

I haven't seen any eggs yet form any of my girls. Do you guys think it is possible that the carpenter cloth on the top triangle of our coop lets in too much light? Maybe they don't feel secure enough in there to lay? The Blue Wyandotte is 36 weeks, the Sussex is 24 weeks, the Black...

At what age do Black Australorps begin to lay their first eggs???

My Black Australorp, Betty, is 27 weeks now, and I haven't seen an egg from her either, or any of her girlfriends. Do you guys think it is possible that the carpenter cloth on the top triangle of our coop lets in too much light? Maybe they don't feel secure enough in there to lay?
