I knew they would be competitive, but I just didn't realize it could get this bad. Like I said, the 1st Alpha wasn't very aggressive, but now that the 2nd male has taken over as Alpha, he's just been unmerciful... :(
We found the other nest! I marked all of the eggs and added the original 7 so now there are 20. I've harvesting the newest ones so hopefully she'll stop laying soon and try hatching the 20 eggs in the nest. It has been over 15 days though since the first 7 were laid so they might not be viable...
My loving little guineas which I hand-raised as day old keets are fighting terribly...and this is my first year with guineas...
Here's the back story: I had 2 males and 2 females which paired off fine...then one of the females died so Peep was left without.

Is there anything I can do to encourage her to continue laying in her original nest? It's in the coop and boxed off. I heard if I keep her in a bit longer than the other...

Thanks for your reply PeepsCA! My pullets are kept separate and not free-ranging yet, and once they're older they will be in a coop separate from the guinea coop. And my main reason for keeping the guinea population down is simply just because of the noise level. Ideally I'd like 5 or 6 females...
We raised 4 (2 males, 2 females) 2-day-old keets and they're almost 11 months old now. The other day one of the females died...the dominant male now keeps the other male away from the remaining female. I've seen the three of them still free-range and perch together, but it's clear that the 2nd...
