Teganoid, where are you? What breed are your 2 girls?
Edit: I'm sorry, I just saw you had a sick one. I just can't risk it with all the ones I've lost to illness. I think I'll just put my 2 Cochin bantam girls in with the Frizzle boy.
That's okay. Totally understandable. I found someone who is...
It's okay. Actually there are 2 still alive. We found 2 dead and assumed the worst, but I would still rather find them a home(s). It's too chaotic around here - too many people wanting to do things their way. Maybe in the future.
All of my chickens are dead because someone left Merlotte outside all night. We suspect my grandma, (who has Alzeihmer's) but I know it wasn't me. Anyone need grit, organic conditioner, organic soy-free feed, organic soy-free scratch, mealworms, sand, pine shavings, a feeder, fount, etc.?
Pinkie Pie is okay, but there may be an egg that was about to be laid. There is some bloody poo - possibly from stress - and something hard when the vet felt her.
There is a small wound on the wing and I'm getting something for that. Thank you guys! :)
She will not move the left wing out the same way she does with the right one.
I hope these links work.

This morning my dog had a chicken in her mouth. I only have 4 to begin with because the city will only allow that many. I think she has a broken wing, but I have no clue what to do!

I emailed B & D and this is the response:
"We're happy that your girls arrived! We fully vaccinate our birds and send only healthy ones. We've heard about this happening and we think the stress of the trip affects some birds worse than others. Shipping brings down the immune system and causes...
Yes, I only have these 4 because I just wanted some layers and I can only have up to 4 hens in my city (and no roosters.)

I ordered started pullets 3 Buff Orpingtons & 1 Easter Egger from Murray McMurray Hatchery, but they actually came from B & D Farm?
The day I picked them up, one of them had clear nasal discharge & was sneezing. She is in quarantine, but - being a first time backyard chicken owner - I am...

I just got my hens yesterday, but one of them has a runny nose & seems to be coughing/sneezing. Is it just stress or should I contact the place I got them from? I am not sure what I should do. :s
I have discovered what I think are mice living under the storage shed by the chicken coop & run. I know I won't be able to keep them out, so I am looking for suggestions.
My dad has bait in the garage, which has a door that opens to the porch in the backyard, but he is so (frustratingly)...
I have checked the resource pages, but I was just wondering if anyone around here knows of a good place to get organic feed and other things?
I know I haven't posted. I don't have any experience, so I don't have much input around here.
I am going to start my coop area soon. If anyone here has any, I will be looking for some started pullets; either 3 Orpingtons and 1 Easter Egger or 4 Orpingtons.
from Okies. I have read a lot before making decisions, but I ask a lot of questiins on here for that reason.
p.s. sorry about the messed-up posts. I'm on a Samsung tablet and it messes up all the time. I never have thproblems with my apple products! grr! *knock on wood* /rant over
