We are doing fairly well. We still have chickend, a giant obnoxious dog and a hyperactive 7 year child, plus a elderly cat that is very healthy and drools like a St Bernard. How are you doing these days?

Part of maintaining a long term flock includes possibly having to butcher the chicken. We have eaten roosters, and hens. Home grown chickens are very delicious. Ask my 7 year old. But not everyone can handle the process either. I can cut up a chicken and use it anyway a store bought chicken can...

This is such a quiet thread these day. Meanwhile the old night crew cheif is back, and I now live east of Toledo WA. I currently have 9 savuvy hens. And an empty incubator.
Okay it’s been nearly a decade, but occasionally the Head of night Crew has to check in.
I once again have a very cute flock, of what better be girls. And we’ve added more than 60 birds to the freezer or BBQ. But the food is good at our house.
