When introducing new birds keep yours and the rescues seperate but in eyesight of each other. Give them time to adjust to each other about 4 days. then let them mingle. There may be a bit of fighting aka pecking the first 2 or 3 days but then they shuld be fine.
She's not looking at herself she is looking at the other hen. She just doesnt know how to respond to the "other hen" If she is your only one she probably is lonely. If you have others just cover the mirror and she will stop. If covering the mirror is not an option then just move her. Truthfully...

i know that you have to cross it with something else for the possibility and then you would have to cross it back and end up with the same results multiple times for it to be "pure bred" and i know that it would take a while.......a l o n g w...
IF I mixed a delaware( white/columbian) with a buff orphington and mixed the babies with a delaware and ended up with a gold delaware and its babies looked like the parents would that be a new breed of delaware?

i would love to test some of your eggs. i live in tn and i am currently in the process of making an incubator... Could i have some in two to three weeks?- i just paid the bills and get paid agian on the 23.
