Anybody on here happen to have any heirloom beans for trade? Here's a list of what I have that I would be willing to get rid of. I do not care too much about how old the seeds are as long as there not older than 3 years.
Corn, "Country Gentleman"
Squash, "Blue Hubbard"
Onion, "Red Burgundy"...
I've mentioned plantains above, I've only tried them raw so far. (Maybe because I'm too lazy to get up and make my own food, since my mom doesn't want to cook stuff like that.) You can also make flour out of plantain seeds. I have tried dandelion tea (made with only the root) before and it does...
I've been interested in getting piqeons for a while, and am trying to get a breed that can be used for as many things as possible. Is there a pure white variety of the American Giant Homer pigeon? Can somebody get a picture of one of these homers with a chicken next to it? And Hoss1975, where...

Pepperweed, grows all over in well-drained soil. The seedpods are edible and have a peppery flavor. Please confirm this with either another BYC member or do a google search yourself if plan to try eating it!
You can put cardboard collars around the base of the plants to prevent the cutworms from getting to the stem, just make sure to have about an inch of cardboard below ground and one above.
Wow, that's a lot of guineas! How load is it when they all start screeching? Maybe I'll have to try some more guineas. I could definitely use them, I went out walking in a field today, and walked out with about five ticks on my leg. Creepy!
The only other thing that I could think of at the moment that wasn't already stated is that they have long, sharp claws, so be careful if you pick it up.
