How fun! not much really, other than ducks fly and well, mine clear a 5ft fence like it was nothing. They like to roost, i have a shelf in the barn and some boards set up outside for them to do so. Finally, they are broody and i mean BROODY so be prepared, you need a tight hold on that or you could end up with a whole whack of them if you have drakes to go along side with.

i know what you mean when you say broody i had a cochin once and the longest time she was broody was 3 months. LOL,

Do you have any other ducks so far? Single ducks tend to get lonely, they need company for their wellbeing. I once had a muscovy borrowed from a friend to use "her" ( turned out to be a drake...) as a broody. The duck could not adapt to my flock because domestic mallards don't "speak" the muscovies' bodylanguage...

The only other thing that I could think of at the moment that wasn't already stated is that they have long, sharp claws, so be careful if you pick it up.
