Hey i am going to get a muscovy hen. And, i was wondering if someone could give me any tips on how to care for them and other need to know things about muscovys before i buy the muscovy.![]()

i know what you mean when you say broody i had a cochin once and the longest time she was broody was 3 months. LOL,and we don't even have a rooster!!!!![]()

Yikes! well, they are one determined bunch of ladies, i have no idea how they are without a drake as i have always had them but man, i had a physical fight with one tonight because she wants to nest in the barn cats box!
Do you have any other ducks so far? Single ducks tend to get lonely, they need company for their wellbeing. I once had a muscovy borrowed from a friend to use "her" ( turned out to be a drake...) as a broody. The duck could not adapt to my flock because domestic mallards don't "speak" the muscovies' bodylanguage...Hey i am going to get a muscovy hen.
