Today I got 3 eggs! Yay! 3 out of 4 are paying rent. If the youngest pullet waits as long as the others did to lay I won't get 4 eggs until Feb. Can't wait to see what color egg Henrietta the EE will lay.

Thanks The weather is so weird lately I think it changes their minds about laying. This morning it is 22 degrees! This is SC, it's supposed to be warm. LOL One week it's in the 70's the next week the high is 40. No wonder they aren't laying.

I'm still waiting for eggs. The RIR is now 26 weeks, the BO is 25 wks, the Cuckoo Marans is 24 wks and my EE is 18 weeks. They bury the golf balls in shavings all the time but they don't lay anything in the nests. Nobody squats but their combs are red. I haven't heard any egg songs yet either...

I look every day too, a couple of times a day. I put some oyster shell in there and they went to town on it.

Pretty eggs! I'm still waiting on a RIR who is 24 wks, a BO that is 23 wks, and a Cuckoo Maran that is 22 wks. The EE is only 16 wks so not looking for hers yet. Somebody has been playing around with the nests but not leaving anything in them.

Thank you! I was worried about the coloring. I tried to pick out the one with the smallest feet and no comb. They got them from a hatchery and they were all supposed to be pullets but one had a red comb and some big feet.

They said 8 wks old and supposed to be a Easter Egger. I wonder if she is a bantam, seems like the others were bigger at that age.
