Thanks! Actually, today I got 6 eggs! These are super layers, 5 hours of daylight! How can I tell which chickens are laying? Is there a different shade of brown for each breed?Every pullet is different in how quickly they make an egg, but generally, it takes 26 hours to make an egg. So they will get later and later in the day, until it's too late, then they will skip a day, then start again the following morning. Then add to it that their bodies have to adjust to this process, so it can be pretty sporadic. I've had layers start and lay a couple of eggs, then nothing for a week or two.
Congrats on having 2 pullets laying!
Welcome!
