Here's my baby just over 1 week after amputating his leg. isn't he pretty! so proud of him, he stands right up on his good leg, hops around and seems all around happy :-) I am so glad we amputated his bad foot!

we were not able to straighten his foot out all at. also at the "knee" it tends to point outward too much. leg and foot are cold so I am guessing he has no circulation to them now.

its hard to get his foot open all the way, but we will try to make a brace for it. I had to tape his legs together (about 1 1/2 apart) to keep his leg from pushing outward. he doesn't seem to be in any pain but just flops around. will take pictures of the brace as soon as we can get it done...
