This was very informative. I re-homed an unruly rooster that was hell bent on attacking my knees which have been replaced. I welcome the good snakes but sure don't like the fact that it got my baby duck. I'll be getting another buff duck friday when the new ones come in. Dogs are worth their weight in gold, however it did not help my baby duck that I just found dead in the cage. The other 4 chicks and 1 duckling were in the attached coop. I move mine to a cage within the coop once they have regular feathers and are at least half the size of the others. The others get to know them through the cage. I had gotten 2 magpie ducks because I couldn't find the buffs. I just couldn't pass them up when I saw them. So that gives me a total of 5 ducks. My dog loves the eggs. So do I for that matter.
