I posted on here for a short time a while back. Ever since then I haven't missed reading a post, which is why you've almost all been on our prayer list at one point or another!

Thanks--I've told my husband that's on my bucket list, and gone as far as having him put it on his work calendar, so we'll see.
"I doubt you are any more strange than the rest of us." People have said that before. We have, though, proved them wrong...fair warning! We are, however...

How to talk..... just kidding
Oh, you poor thing--you've no idea whom you're dealing with! My husband is a pastor that got his degree in speech as an actor! We all have to talk just out of survival...

Glad you are back, Don't wait so long between visits.
How are things in your neck of the woods?
Fast, hard, and continuous--waking each morning and looking to the east, just a little disappointed. How are things there? I've kept up with the forum--you guys are keeping our prayer list...
Stimpy, you said you don't know what that stack of flour sacks mean. I just know what things like that mean to me--memories, and a sense of heritage.
I hope I'm raising kids that will understand those things, too...but these days it's really hard.
Dot
Stimpy, I never bought flour in printed sacks, but my grandmothers did, and I've worn dresses and slept under quilts made with them.
I grew up right there with my maternal grandparents, so still treasure all their things I still have. Can't bear to part with any of it...yet...maybe someday...
Sonya, yes, Miss Lorene was a treasure. Well, she still is, just not down here. She left a huge empty place in her pew and in our hearts, but her homecoming was a great day for her. Thanks for all you did taking care of her. I don't believe I know your husband or his family, but if your...
Good morning all, just popping on before my son wakes up everything starts in earnest...
Robber's Cave is great. I take my boy there a lot, we were there just last week too--he loves to climb the rocks. He also loves to hold the snakes and stuff in the Nature Center. Me, not so much...
Teach, the only way I'd ever be classified as "hot" is if someone doused me with gasoline and lit a match! Now my cooking is a different story...
Sonya, I'm out on High Bridge road, about a half mile from High Bridge Baptist Church. Where are you? I'm not from here originally, so I don't...
Gosh, I've missed you guys! Welcome to all you newcomers, and hi, Sonya! I'm from just outside Wilburton, too.
I'm really wishing I could come to POOPS. You're such a great bunch of people, I would just love to meet all of you! I'm a band geek, too...although I guess more of an orchestra...
OK, so I have a dumb question. Really dumb, so go ahead and pardon my dumbness ahead of time and just give me the answer and put me out of my misery.
My chickens were a gift from a guy who has dozens and dozens, and really doesn't care about them except to produce fertilizer. In the...
Good morning, everyone!
Wow, I wish I could go to POOPS. Not just because of the name, ('cause that totally ROCKS,)
but because you guys are such a great group of people that I'm just dying to meet you all face to face.
How is everyone this week? I hope you're enjoying the weather as much...
Oceanseve--
We don't have access to a digital camera at the moment, or I'd do it in a heartbeat. I can tell you what we did, though--5-gallon buckets on a shelf on one wall for nest boxes, with a 2x4 in front for a rail, and pallets leaned against the other walls for roosts. I just knocked...
Hi, Graceful and Poultryand Bees,
Yeah, our coop is proof that God sometimes says, "Oh, yeah? Watch this!" I had been wanting chickens for several years, since we moved here, but there just wasn't money for the startup. So it was something on my longterm prayer list. You know, "God, there...
Hi, Henny,
Thanks so much for the prayers. I do covet them...and yes, the economy scares the stuffing out of me. I grew up with my grandparents and know exactly what may be coming, and that's one reason the coop and the chickens were such an answer to prayer! But we know, better than most...
Lynn, my feathered kids all play in the backyard together. Honestly, I'm not sure they're pure anything as the guy who gave them to me had no clue what they were. He only kept them in large numbers out in the barn, never paid them much attention, and had them around for fertilizer purposes...
