Yeah we never did get corn in yet. Our meat birds will be ready for processing here in a few weeks, along with about 15 Dorking roosters. Yummy! Our farm party is July 19 (you're all invited, seriously! We're in Marshall, WI. Look Parkfield Farm up on FB for the address) where we will enjoy...
We had a golden eagle for awhile, and it was an amazing thing to watch a full grown Dorking rooster fight off a golden eagle. He I'm sure thinks he did it all on his own, and I'm sure I had nothing to do with it running at them and screaming in my bare feet and pjs
Hello everyone! I just wanted to say that we have some lovely LF SG Dorking boys available here in Wisconsin (outside of Madison) and we also ship hatching eggs!
Good morning all, thanks for the coffee. My 19yo made some of grandma's carrot cake that I can share.
The rain last night was lovely except for a leak in the roof. We can't get the new roof and siding on quickly enough, I'm so excited for it. three more weeks and we start tearing off the...
Good morning all, I'm bringing more coffee if anyone would like some.
Yesterday was so lovely, the family and dogs and I spent the day outside planting potatoes, onion, and leek starts, transplanting some garlic and tulip bulbs...half of a 40x50ft bed is started with food and I'm pleased. I...
Good morning all thanks for the coffee! Mixed reviews on today--our fridge is down but I may have found a new front door on FB marketplace. Cross your fingers!
Happy eclipse day!
I think I'll have to eat my words about the snow. On Tuesday I had to drive in that crap and ended up messing up my driver rear on the guardrail, and I was only going 35mph! I was trying to get over to avoid a semi and fishtailed all over the road. And I even have AWD. I'm super sad.
In...
Good morning all, I brought more coffee and some danish!
I'm looking forward to the eclipse. I'm having my teens and fella meet me at work (if it's not cloudy) and we're going up on the observation deck, even though it's still closed. (I work at the State Capitol building in Wisconsin)...
I hope things work out for you. I think maybe the unexpected late spring weather likely had an impact. Maybe add a bit of honey or maple syrup or molasses into it? Only if it's pure.
It feels like about the 4th consecutive Friday this week--I've thought every day that it was Friday, but it's finally here! Looking forward to digging out my rhubarb this weekend and celebrating our third kid's 18th with homemade sushi and chocolate cupcakes!
Thanks for the coffee and company...
We usually have fox den in an old barn foundation on our property, and we're waiting for them to show up this year yet. Keeping a close eye on the birds for sure.
Speaking of spring, @Offshoreorca our rhubarb here in Wisconsin is peeking out, and I'm SO excited that the ramps I transplanted...
I think what I meant by impartial is that I thought that her personal feelings of what's livable or not, or if she likes our house or not should not come into play. She should just be taking photos and giving the boiled down factual version of the condition.
We do have a mortgage, this is technically our second mortgage. They did ask about the floors, and I explained. I also explained that at some point they will be finished or replaced, but that the floors are the LAST priority. With the location we're in, and the property surrounding it, this...
