I have a cute little white silkie, Easter just passed and I am wondering about this color dying your chicken. First off, is it harmful to my chicken and I live in Florida, is it illegal to do this. It seems cute and cool, but don't want to harm my animal in any way. All input is appreciated.
I have an app called poulty pal. It crashes alot and loses information. Not impressed with its tracking feature either. Has no total egg count. Just wondering if there is anything better to track my eggs. Open to all suggestions
Just seems weird that she started laying and now its been 4 days with nothing. Worried something might b wrong. The hen is acting perfectly normal eating and drinking.. they have the ability to free range but im keeping them in today to see if she is hiding the eggs
My 21 week old hen started to lay, she layed 1 egg every 28 to 32 hours. Did this for 4 eggs, now its been over 48 hours and no eggs.Is tthis normal when they first started to lay eggs. Please help
I have 2 roos and 7 hens. They are all young and approaching laying age. One hen has begun laying. She lays one, skips aday, then has laid for 3 days consecutive, my guess is she will skip tomorrow because she layed it late afternoon. But I feel guilty taking the eggs as soon as she lsys them...
Thanks everyone. Still thinking this gypsy chicken is a roo because of the comb and waddle growth but again im a rookie and at 18 wks I would think I would hear some sort of a crow! Been a silent movie so far! Lol
We kidnapped these two chicks from Key West, Florida at 3 weeks old. They r now 18 weeks. Typically the breed down here is referred to Cubalayan, but the dont seem to b following that character. I believe they r also a roo and a pullet! Im open to any and all comments and analysis anyone may have.
Wait til he leaves his house, then go ovet and take ur roo back, then take him to a santuary to live out his days. When the neighbor asks wheres his rooster, simply say.." I have no idea"... end of story!
