    Hen with yellow runny poo!

Oh! Ok....will try and get one...but it looks like the mustard yellow poo under the caecal section. We've had really bad wet weather here for the last couple of weeks, so I'll take my phone out when there's a break in the rain to get a picture when I can. Thank you.

    Hen with yellow runny poo!

Oh wow! Nice chart! Thanks for that. I was worried that it was something very wrong. This is a fab place to get reassurance. Thanks again.

    Hen with yellow runny poo!

Hi, thanks in anticipation of any help; I'm a new chicken owner (having only had my 5 girls for a few months). They are all healthy and active but one of them has yellow runny poo (looks like mustard!) Some days there is none in the coop (just the normal looking poos) and other days there is the...

    Adding to a flock

Thanks everyone for your advice. Much appreciated. I had them separated for a bit today but when I looked out, one of my older girls was in with the two new ones anyway!

    Adding to a flock

I have just added two new girls to the three I already have...and understandably, my older girls (by about 4-6 weeks) are picking on the new ones. We only introduced them yesterday and have resorted to putting them in separate runs today so that they can see each other without pecking! I...

Cockeral free to a good home

Help! I have a lovely rooster in my flock who we named 'Bella' at 8 weeks old as we thought he was a girl. He is now crowing and unfortunately I can't keep him in the area I live. I have exhausted many attempts to re-home him...but am hanging out before the last resort. Please please, does...

    Hormonal girls?

I have my suspicions too! They both fight like mad....together! Maybe we will hear the other one crowing soon!

    Hormonal girls?

Well, one of the girls who has a very red comb and wattle greeted me with cock a doodle doo this morning!! Absolutely unmistakably!! We're very surprised, and now know she won't be laying eggs anytime soon!!

My chickens won't sleep on the roost

Thank you! I don't mind where they sleep; as long as they are happy!

    Hormonal girls?

Hi! Two of them have red combs and wattles...the other three are still pink and funnily enough it's the two whose are red that are the noisiest and pecky! I will keep you posted. Thanks.

My chickens won't sleep on the roost

Sorry for my ignorance (I'm very new to this!) but does it matter if they don't sleep on the roost? I have 5 girls who share a coop and only 3-4 of them roost whilst the other 1 or 2 sleep in the nest boxes!

    Hormonal girls?

My 17 week old girls are suddenly very fiesty. They are also getting very vocal! Is this a sign I might get eggs soon? They are like a bunch of women with PMT! I'm a first timer with chickens, having had these girls from 8 weeks old (so it's all very new!)

    Hi from Southern England

Thank you. I'm loving their company, they don't appear unwell (active, eating and drinking etc) but concerned by what I have been reading on here about Mycoplasma and other respiratory infections :-(
