    Depends on the chickens I pick up every morning bc it's dark when I get off. I don't have problems.

    Ok so I guess I should have been more specific but did learn from your comment. I'm almost out of chick starter crumbles an would rather everyone be on the same food what should I use? I have laying hens Roos an youngish chickens 5 to 10 weeks. And yes they waste too much on crumbles!

    Hello. I have just got started with a back yard flock of marans because I love the color of the eggs and the beauty of the eggs. I have two 10week olds that the sex is still a mystery to me any options welcome. Also I have more 5 week olds how do you tell? Anyone able to help with any input?
