Still raining everyone, I'm hoping tomorrow I will have some pictures. Their finally calling for good weather. A little more suspense but wow have you ever helped me thank you. James thank you as well, you sent me a personal message, talking about how the breeders birds might have been rough to...
Thank you everyone for the advise. I've tried to repair everything accordingly. Things are improving. That's all I'm going to say for now. Lots of rain today everything is covered up so no pictures. But some suspense always makes things better :)
Bought them fully mature which is why I'm so confused. I have the male to female ratio at 1 male per 5 female. Unless breeder lied to me about the age and sex. I will do vent test today to be sure thank you.
Saw the rest of the stock they were pretty beat up, just picked the best ones went back a week later and got some more good ones.
I'm going to make some extra space today.
If that doesn't work I guess I got some mean ol birds.
Happy thanksgiving :) eat well
I put handfulls of leaves on top of the cages incase it's a shelter thing. If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to thin the herd. But I had no issues for 2 months why now
I have another coop beside on the ground and their doing exactly the same things just not as bad. No leaves left under the tree I had them on. Could this somehow be a result
Seems like more than one. They almost all start running and pecking each other at once and the weakest ones seem to take the damage and give up and run and hise
mine are on day seven doing the exact same thing. I'm honestly not to worried as temp is holding 100. If you think there gettin burnt or something take them off the turner and hand turn so it's farther away from the heater
Instead of bobbin around now they chirp and run and all peck the crap out of each other it seems. Just little bursts of it out of nowhere. Strange. I don't know what to do I've worked so hard. I have 16 quail. Two are males I believe. One finally started laying eggs after owning for 2 months...
