Hi dc, some quails have legs curled left to right and vice versa, while others have rolled up but not extreme. when you say humidity issues, does it mean its high or low that causes curled legs?

Hi, some of my quails that hatched today have curled toes. i have straightened then with a surgical tape. please advice for how long should i keep the tape on their toes so that they straighten?

Thank You TwoCrows and Gander.. you advice will really help me have a good start with my quails. The quail is still attached to the egg via a small umbilical cord kind of string and is roaming around the bator with the egg attached. I guess it will just detach when it dries off.

Hi, One of my quail egg has just hatched and a few pipped. For how long can i leave the chicks in the incubator without food and water? currently the Temperature is 37C and the Humidity between 68-70. If i can leave the in the incubator? for how long and at what temp and humidity?

Hi, I am currently hatching quail eggs. am on day 10 today. A few days back my humidity shot up to 70% and stayed that way for around 24 hrs. do you think this would have affected my hatch rate?
