Chicks no. Maybe if your not in a rush try to get her broody and have her sit on fertilised eggs ? she's guaranteed to accept them . But if you haven't got time maybe pullets is the best way to go . As for breed I recommend getting a mixture so that the hen doesn't feel over ruled . Im biased...
Word of advice : DONT EVER PUT TWO ROOS TOGETHER . Although they may get along now Ive heard some horror stories of roos fighting .Also some more advice would be to get maybe more hens too one roo .

Keep the one who's top dog definitely other wise the rooster might find it hard to be separated and the other might find it hard to fit in . Could you put up some pics ? Its also best to go for the best looking rooster for future generations .
