    I understand how you feel, my Wyandotte ,Silver-laced is 24 weeks and haven't started laying. To make matters even worse, I have mixed breed that I hatched 1 1/2 year ago they have even stop laying....total of 10 hens and one egg a day!!!!

    There can be several things that can be wrong.......temp. make sure the chicks are not too hot or cold...........I was told sugar water boost their energy when first hatch. I don't know if that will work now that it is 3 days old. Have u had anyother to die?

    Pinky I was thinking about clipping his claws but I thought maybe that would make it worse being that I may leave snags. My rooster will be one year old next month. Saddle sound the right way for me to go.

    to terrilhb it is bad to me because I love my hens as well as my rooster. I will post pictures tomorrow. @ speedy2020 I will not consider replacing my rooster I have experienced bad rooster be4 and he is far from it. He is only doing his job only a little aggressive.

    I would post a picture but my hens will not stay still long enough I will try again tomorrow. 2 of my hens feathers are gone because the rooster. It is where the roster is roosting and his claws are in the exact spot where the feathers are missing. what can I do?

    I'm dealing with the exact same thing. I wasn't prepared for this at all!! I worry so much about my chicks, they are only 9 wk old. and they are inside a box like with a light. It continue to blow so I'm thinking that it's may be a fire hazard. (the light) so I just don't know what to do.

    I'm devastated!

    I've experienced this a couple of months back. It's so heartbreaking (something you hatched and some raised from so young) to watch them be killed! I'm so sorry for you loss.
