    what color silkie is this?

It looks a lot like a lavender, but I'm not good with genetics, so I'm not sure what that cross would make.

Ameraucanas? Easter Eggers? What do I have?!

Most hatcheries sell Easter Eggers, which are what yours looks like. Most lay blue or green eggs, but a couple of mine have laid light brown or cream colored eggs. In my experience, they are extremely friendly birds and I'm sure your kids will love watching them grow! Good luck with them!

Help us identify ourselves! Please? :) (Bantam breeds)

Stella looks like a Dark Brahma to me. Roxxy/Rocky does look like an Antwerp, but not sure. Stella is beautiful, but I have no clue what she could be! Good luck with your babies!

Help figuring out these baby chickens?

The buff one with feathered feet looks like a d'Uccle Belgian Bantam. I'm not sure about the others, but they sure are cute! Sorry I can't be more help!

They look like hens to me, but it's kind of hard to tell, since they won't stand still! :)

This is Reginald Biffington, III, but called Reggie for short. What breed do you think he is? I was leaning towards Old English Game Bantam, but I'm really not sure. Any ideas?

    Need some advice...

It has a little feather in the center. Could it be an ingrown feather? Today it looks like it might have infection in it.

    Need some advice...

I have a Royal Palm "foster" turkey named Bubba. He has a big lump or cyst or something on his wing, on the "elbow". It is a little bigger than a golf ball and firm. I'm not sure if I need to lance it or not. I've had turkeys for years, but I've never seen anything like this. Thanks for any...

    Crossing Marans of different colors?

Thanks, 3riverschick! I would most likely be keeping the offspring for myself, but I would definitely let any buyer know they are not pure. I think I will probably just breed by color, instead of crossing. I really want the book you mentioned! It looks like it would have so much information!

    Crossing Marans of different colors?

I'm new to BYC, so I hope this is in the right place. What colors would you get if you crossed a Cuckoo Marans with a Black Copper Marans, a Cuckoo Marans with a Blue Copper Marans, or a Cuckoo Marans with a Splash Marans? I am not all that knowledgeable on chicken genetics, other than the B/B/S...
