    I googled hard chicken puss, I feel very confident you are correct :( I have no idea what to do, aside from opening it up and buying expensive antis and reading further that didn't help those who tried it :'( i'm searching for a vet locally that will see a chicken, not finding much in the area....

    sorry....I don't know why my photo didn't post, I found her nest this morning behind the shop, there are 16 eggs in it! but that's just from one chicken. I fear the other is having some issues, she has laid 2 soft shells then nothing but yoke and egg white :( put her on straight oyster shell...

    They were laying daily with the roo though. 1 of the hens was even laying 2 a day occasionally....rare I hear? Now that hes gone they have stopped.

    So, I have 2 cinnamon queens roughly a year old, that laid pretty regularly, then I got a roo, (just to hatch some eggs from my own hens), then I decided to get rid of the roo, that was the last day I got eggs! this week will have been 4 weeks! I was told by another that they didn't feel secure...

    Where did you get your incubator? It should have a little control on the top if you purchased from a local supply store, as far as the humidity I kept all my "wells" inside the incubator full for the most part, once I seen the water begin to evaporate I filled it back up. I'm far from and expert...

    I do not have the parent, I try to not bring adult birds in...due to the possibility of disease/infections. I found your comment on the post after I started a new thread. I'm going to try this first thing in the morning. I sure hope it works!

    SO glad I found this post! I just started a new thread about a new hatched chick's eye problem that looks very similar to this ones, but the drainage on my chick is very bad. I'm going to try this above suggested and cross my fingers.

    I purchased the hens from a swap meet, it was laid on the way home. So never refrigerated. I will double check my days and the developmental stage via pictures. Hopefully it will come out soon!

    This egg is a chicken egg yes, however, just last week I hatched 4 guinea eggs right on time. The temp has never changed according to the thermometer.

    I have an egg that was laid on the 15th of last month. I have read that incubation period is only 21 days, it is well past that...I can candle the egg and see the bird in there and sometimes moves. Why wont it hatch???
