Ive had muscovy eggs but was never sure of what the exact time it takes for a muscovy thats in an appropriate age to lay an egg. Hoping some of you will know.:D
Hello all,
Ive owned ducks for 6+ years and usually warmed up to me after a few weeks... But now my new ducks seemed not as welcoming. Ive had them since they were five days old, same as all my ducks, and they are about 3 months now. I have one moscovy, 2 mallards, and a pekin, all...
I have and still do. Put them in toghether and just wantch them. If they harass and attack each other, separate them. Mine never did though. Im sure theyll be fine
You also want to make sure they cant get out of the coop when there older. Mine escaped at night and wouldve been killed by a racoon if i didnt have a 22 handy. When they get quite big enough tho it wont be a problem. If there are not the right ratio from drakes to females on some breeds it can...
simple, you have to tell how many ducks you have and someone else has to top you. Lets see who has the most!
Example-Guy num.1 :I have 1 mallard duck
Guy num.2 :I have 2 ducks
Feel free to add pictures!
Ill start off- I have four ducks,2 mallards, one pekin, and one muscovy
Good luck!
When i try to draw my ducks that they ether become impatient and start pecking my feet or i get frustrated and smash my head against the wall.
Great drawings though
Ducks are my favorite in terms of personality. They are also hardier than chickens, lay bigger eggs, look to you if they are used to you and, they will follow you if they know you. Funny little animals, huh?
Just curious, but what kind do you have?
Just to let you know, Moscovys are hard ducks to hatch(bigger the egg, harder to hatch), and if not done exactly right, can end in disaster. Please keep us updated on what happens! I really want to know how it goes
For me, i keep a regular light bulb you would find anywhere and keep it close to the brooder. At about a week old they join my big Muscovy and sleep in the coop, so they are not in there for long.
