Chickens & Ducks

We are new chicken and duck owners and wonder if you can house both of them same coop? We have 16 chickens and 4 mallard ducks/

I have and still do. Put them in toghether and just wantch them. If they harass and attack each other, separate them. Mine never did though. Im sure theyll be fine

The only thing to really worry about is a randy drake with your hens - if all your ducks are female then there should be no issues.

Other than chucks going to the toilet on your ducks that is

2 drakes 2 females.

I would be. Concerned with so few ducks, the drakes may take it upon themselves to claim a few hens. That would be very bad for your chickens.

A drake mating a chicken hen could kill her.
