Easter 1616 put a hen in Bavaria a Sternei. At this point, a chapel and later a monastery was built.
The egg is a relic.

does somebody know the English name for this egg form (middle)?
And does somebody know the medical reason?
In german it is called 'Sternei' (means: staregg).
