    Finally Downsizing....

Hi, I know how awful this is going to sound but I made it better.... In april I bought 60 chickens, I built a 20ft by 15ft run and a 6 foot by 8 foot coop(for egglaying only). This is obviously too small for that many birds but I was letting them grow in here with plans of building a bigger run...

    Help.. Super Muddy Run.....

Hi I live in Florida and our weather has not been so nice recently. It has rained everyday for a week and everything is drenched. Since I built my run I have been putting hay on the dirt floor as a precaution against this but that isn't working. I let all of the chickens out in the yard because...

    all who are hatching quail

I just put straight bleach into a spray bottle and spray a thin layer on and let sit overnight. If there are stains I add a little more bleach to those areas. The bleach will not harm the Styrofoam, And No I wouldn't add that to the metal pieces. For the metal pieces and the more iffy areas I...

    all who are hatching quail

I use an anti bacterial spray then let it sit for like 10 minutes, Wipe that away and then spray bleach on it and let sit overnight. Works great for me and plus gets rid of the deep stains in the Styrofoam.

    New Babies!!!!

9 have and there are 5 eggs left it sounds like 3 of the five are pipping but haven't broke through yet. Would it be ok to take the 9 to the brooder and let the three others hatch. I am just wondering if the other three will rely on the others to hatch.

Im a new guy got in deep dont knw what i got

It really depends on how they are kept. These birds can live years but they are bulky and big breasted so it is not recommended to keep them past a certain amount of weeks. They grow fast and taste so good lol. As far as laying goes you will possibly get eggs out of them but they are not an egg...
