Above is the before pic. I did not take a pic after peeling the shell. You can see his beak and eye with membrane below. Below is the after pic... About 12 hours after hatch! She's the one on the left. Any ideas for helping feathers to finish drying. Mostly back that is matted.
Update! Before we went to bed last night, I unzipped for the chick in trouble leaving the membrane intact. I moistened all exposed membrane with aquaphor to keep it moist. I did not plan on getting up each hour to moisten it with water. Lo and behold, this morning it had hatched on its own...
She had pipped a small hole when we got home from church around 1:30pm. It is now 9 pm, so 7+ hours. Here is a pic. I have since moved the biddies to the brooder so they would not hurt her.
