    How strange...were they caring for theirs the same as you do? I know next to nothing about ducklings but I wonder if since you'd had them for 5 days and your two are still well that it may have been human error...sad whatever the reason. Hope the three that are still alive continue to do well.

    Mine did well too...35 at lockdown. 28 hatched. The rest were quitters...I'm not complaining. Plus... I borrowed it so it only cost me to run it.

    I've done the same thing. I hatched 28. So far I have given or sold 19. I bought 3 for me of "cute" bantams I wanted and 6 of other breeds because I was sure every one I hatched was a rooster! Oh my gosh! Overrun with adorable chicks...smh 6 more leave next weekend.

    That is sad about your duckling. I helped a chick out yesterday...did everything wrong. It's neck was oddly bent and it's eyes weren't open. I kept seeing it breath. I left it in the incubator over night. It was much better eyes open and neck looked normal but terribly floppy this morning...

    Cute! I went to get layer feed on Friday and came home with four chicks...I told my mom...I slipped and fell and they stuck to me like burrs...what was I to do? Oops;)

    Thanks...I'm loving being a chicken Nanny. If I'd thought of it I'd have drawn Easter stuff before they were set. I only drew one before lock down. Almost all have a smiley face...my way of marking them as candled and having movement in 3/24/15...it's a fun canvas. ;)
