How to Tell Difference between African and Toulouse?

They were from a hatchery (I got them from a mom and pop feed store)...I was thinking the dots indicated sex as well...however I was told since they ordered ducklings and goslings...they "color coded" which were which based on the color of their "spot." The Khaki cambles were red, the anconas...

How to Tell Difference between African and Toulouse?

Thank you! That's what I thought when they were nibbling on my fingers! Definitely more outgoing than my ducklings! I even had them eating out of my hand before taking the photos...of course they were also nibbling on my fingers and my watch and anything else they could see.

I was wondering...since the goslings i got were "breeders choice"...the two possibilities were African or Toulouse. Is there any way to tell the difference...

She's a Blue Swedish...and she seems to be healthy. She gets up and gets to the pond and gets around her pen. (Then Chip...the muscovy drake...gets to 'breeding' her.) I guess I'll just wait it out!

    Goat-proof chicken feeder?

Oh great! I guess I can't use the goat's area as a "healing" area for my over-loved hens! I guess my hubby has a new project coming this weekend. He's just offered to modify another area of the barn JUST for the hens! Yay! They're all kinds of crazy...but those kids (goats) are SOOOO...

    Goat-proof chicken feeder?

Does anyone know how to create a chicken feed that can withstand or prevent the curious nibblings of a goat or two? It seems the goats should NOT be 'sampling' the chicken feed! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Calling all Cat Owners - CONFUSED Cat!

S.L.Swope : Are you sure Manny is a boy? You said he was neutered but maybe it's really a girl. I don't know much about cat anatomy but can you tell by looking at it whether it's male or female. The drooly boy used to suckle my earlobe while I would try to sleep! Now he's this GORGEOUS Maine...

I'm SOO FLAMING MAD!! Must vent!

Quote: I SERIOUSLY can't believe that! And yet it's YOUR fault if an attack toddler HURTS your dog/s and causes them to nip! We were at a plant nursery a couple summers ago and this guy had his English Bull Mastiff with him. My daughter was QUITE impressed (and in awe)...she told me she...
