Not that I'm aware of. I called our local vet several months ago and asked about a fecal test (he does farm animals, too) and he said he'd have to send it out and that I was the first to ask. Is there a home kit?
I wormed the chickens with their second round of wazine and found additional worms in the poo the next day. I really didn't think I would see worms, that it would just get the eggs. I'm concerned they're going to still have roundworms after all this!
Ok I did 1 gallon of water w the wazine and they drank almost all of it in 1 day. Is that ok? Orr do another day?
I'm embarrassed that they had a worse infestation that I had any idea they had. Do I clean out the coop real good now and do it again after the next treatment?
Thanks!
Here's where I'm basing my information
My vet (who is the local farm vet) really had NO info for me. He was looking online like I was. I asked him to check the poo and he said I WAS THE FIRST TO EVER ASK THAT! He would have to send it out. I declined.

Can you tell me why? Many on here say to follow up with Valbazen and to start with Wazine in case there's a worm overload. I have always been afraid that they have had gape worm by their open mouth behavior. These hens give me 14 eggs out of 14 hens and are so sweet, but I don't think they...
I have tried Rooster Booster wormer, tried ordering another wormer that has no withdrawal from Australia and they can't export, and DE and I'm at my wits end. I am trying to find a dosage and a for sure protocol for the hens. I have 14 Isa Browns. I have SEEN evidence in the poo of definite...
I don't know the size, my husband isn't home to ask. It's probably 12x8. Yes, I was assuming the litter was cat, but I read to use straight clay litter.
The poop in warmer months is under the roost, but now it's everywhere (still mainly roost area) because of it being winter.
We have a wooden floor. The main problem is it's winter and they're having to spend a lot of time in the coop. Normally they're out all day when it's warmer. The poop is mainly under the roost except now. I have always used shavings, but it's to the point that it needs completely cleaned out in...
I have looked on here about using cat litter in the coops, but I am not finding the answer I'm wanting. I am currently using pine shavings, but with 14 hens it is not working very well. It's getting covered in poo too fast and I am not able to effectively scoop it out to maintain it. I have...
Ok I ordered! It will be here in 4-6 days from Aus! I wish it was here today, but I'm glad I don't have egg withdrawal. And you've used this and still eaten the eggs?
