No, his legs don't look like that pic. His legs are not lumpy at all, not raised, separated scales. He just has some patches of shiny white scales. I checked him today and some of the largest white scale patches are gone. I guess they are dead, dry scales that are being shed. Where they were... -

One of my hens just began brooding for the first time. One egg of the 23 broke. I cleaned up the nest while she was off this morning. There are several with dried yolk on them in the nest now. Are chances for hatching these better if I wash them or leave them as is ? Thanks -

Need help covering run
I'm covering a 10x20 run and need suggestions on framing to hold the netting. The fencing is 6 ft high chainlink. I want the netting to be about 4 ft higher. Any suggestions/advice on using PVC pipe or something similar to tent the netting across the run? Thanks for any help! -
Why is my tom spinning?
I guess an ear infection could be a possible cause; however I would think an infection would worsen. I've seen him do this weird behavior only a handful of times over the last year. It seems to happen when he gets agitated at me or if I separate him from his hens. I wish I could describe it... -
Why is my tom spinning?
My standard bronze tom, about a yr and a half old, will occasionally spin in a circle and then run around, bumping into things for a minute or so. Then he's fine. It's almost like a seizure-type activity. Has anyone experienced this ? Other than this, he is healthy, fat and sassy. Thanks. -
