    Silkies are one of the hardest breeds to sex as chicks, but there are some who have specific things they look for. It is possible they are vent sexing the silkies they sale, which is still not 100%. I would email them and ask how they determined the sex and what is the percentage that you will...

    I have never used my pet chicken so I can not say for 100%. Their website seems to indicate that you can get the vaccine for $1.00 per chick.

    Debbie, I have a black Australorp that did the same thing. She gave 10 eggs and then went on a 3 week hiatus. Here's hoping to her ending her hiatus soon.

    Most do offer to vaccinate against Mareks. You usually get the choice at check out. I have seen it for .19 cents a chick.

    My son named his Buff Orpington Percet after our cat who's name is Percy. He said since they were both buff colored and big they were sorta twins. We also have a black silkie named Maleficient.
