Like it's been said "I'd check with TSA". It doesn't appear as though you'd have a problem as I didn't see any eggs on the list myself.
That being said, I'd say "Go for it"
Remember to quote me though if you're tasered on video for news so I can get my 15 minutes of fame. "RevaVirginia said...
I'm sure a great answer is coming. As for now though, I believe that you not allowing access to pebbles by keeping her from free ranging sounds like a good intervention. Good luck
Usually I feed new peeps starter/grower.
I do have some rogue hatched chicks that just follow their rogue mother around mainly eating what they manage to forage. There's a cistern available so getting water isn't an issue. I try an toss them starter/grower around but it's not like they can...
I'm with you on this one.
Knowledge is power.
All factual education is good for society. Just being able to pass the certification everyone benefits.
That said. Discerning fact from fiction or what otherwise would be thought of as a "No Brainer" can be tricky. Take a gander at a documentary...
I often wonder this myself. It seems to me that all feeding concerns are directed towards the hens.
As my chickens go about their daily routine the Roos find food and call the hens over and let them dine on what they found. I'm sure they're getting enough to eat because they are huge.

Tell them with a firm voice "Don't get on the porch". After which you can say to yourself "Well, I've done all I can do" and enjoy watching your peeps on the porch.
Let them "free range" inside the run for a week or two. This will ensure that the coop is the place they go @ dusk. Their free range time will best be suited for the few hours before dusk, they will go in themselves and alleviates the need to try and gather them up which can be a chore.

Like Cluckers&Quackers my bunch will make their rounds and help themselves to the cat food. Feeding it to them directly? "No". Why bother, they'll go get some along with pig, goat, horse and what ever mess the dogs leave (not exactly chicken bite size food).
If you aren't raising them with any restrictions....Feed them anything that'd you'd eat. If they don't want it they won't eat it and some things are surprisingly entertaining. Of course bugs, they'll find them on their own. Greenery that grows around the landscape. Cooked/leftover pasta is one...
