Finally after a year of waiting my wyandotte has finally started laying:) bad news she is not laying in the next boxes were the other are. Should I not let them free range for a while so she hopefully will learn to lay in boxes? Thanks all in advance:):) fyi she is laying just outside coop...

Took our two extra rooms to a place by westbranch that takes in chickens and such that u don't need anymore. Wife didn't what to cull them. It was a nice place:)

I have a wyandotte pullet that is just short of a year old. Hoped she would start laying before start of this winter. Have gotten zero eggs from her so far:(:( will she ever lay? No change in comb color as a of yet. Do I just need to wait for longer daylight hours?

Just got done wrapping the run with six mill plastic. First snow of year 3in so far. I kick myself for waiting till last minute:( and the girls are not liking their first snow either all staying inside. Guess I can't blame them. Good luck to all this winter:)

I currently have two nest boxes roughly 12by15in. Are they large enough for my 2 large wyandotte to lay eggs in or should a add a larger box just for them?
