Hi all,
I have a stupid question for you: do you find fresh eggs stick to the pan more than store bought?
We just recently started getting eggs from our first flock, and our observation is "yes, they do stick more when making fried eggs".
Is this typical? Does anyone happen to know what the...
I am attempting to train my chickens (16 hens).
I'm trying to train them not to poop on my deck, deck chairs, and table. I've hit on a 2 pronged approach:
1) Send the dog out to chase them off when they are on the deck (dog loves this).
2) If I'm on the deck, blast them with the garden hose...
Hello,
We've got 16 pullet layers that we are free ranging. They have the run of our 2+ acres and generally are just fun to watch as they run around the yard.
One problem: They like to hang out on our deck. And while there, they do what chickens do... do do.
Any thoughts about how to...

That is good to hear...
Ours are dumb as rocks! I put a light on in the coop and they jst gather up near the door, piling one on the other! The good thing is that I can wait till dark then just go pick them up in the dark easily - no chasing!
I've been putting them on the ramp into the coop...
