By Hill tribe i meant a tribe in the middle of the forest as in where no one lives not rural. I live rural.
The only US nature shows we get over here are hillbilly hand fishing and swamp people so yes i have no clue about US conditions but i know everything about rural living since i have...
@6of6chicks I have several times. I lived on a farm when I was young and my job was to lock and unlock the chickens and collect the eggs. I came out one day to find 5 of our browns torn up every where by a wild cat. I also came out one morning to find a fox still in the coop ripping into our...
If they are native they have a right to be there. Every animal has a right to life no matter how insignificant the animal is. The attitude if just killing what is bad and dangerous has got us where we are today with some of the worlds largest predators on the brink of extinction.
Now i am not...
Just catch it in your trap, put it in the car and drive to the bush where it belongs. Its not the Opossums fault you put your house where its home used to be. I know how annoying wild animals can be and even pets for that matter but moving it is easier than having to kill it and dispose of the...
Thanks for all the ideas, I will continue to study closely my flock and if all goes bad i will get some leg bands. I suppose an even harder thing is ID what egg came from what chicken unless you see them lay it.

I have studied these hens and looked for little differences but can't find any. Beaks feathers feet toe nails eyes all the same, combs might be...
I borrowed one with the Y pvc junction on it but these look like the food won't sit in the bottom of them as much and when it gets empty the chicks can get to the scraps.
Wanted to find the pieces that royal rooster use to make theres as it looks the best but is to expensive.
Thanks for the reply Donrae, I plan to mount some over hang nesting boxes on the left side of the coop (other side of coop from door)
I have a fair gap with the corrugated iron on the roof letting some air in and out but you are right i was going to cut some vents / windows. just trying to...
