    Awesome thread, thanks all for the tips. I noticed one of my girls limping the other day and that her feet looked really knarly....and to make it worse i think shes broken her leg too (over enthusiastic rooster while shes been limping i reckon). Looking at pictures she has scaly mites :(...

    Got 3 littlies last week, 2 duroc boys @ 7wks and a large white girl @ 8/9wks. Plan is to raise the boys for Christmas and to keep Charlotte the girl and hopefully breed her next year....will see how it goes...

    Becoming self sufficient

    One step closer...we got 3 piglets last week, 2 duroc boys @ 7weeks (Chuck & Norris) and a large white girl @ 8 weeks (Charlotte). Weve built a 'baby' enclosure to start with which is going to be my vege garden area when they move into the planned orchard area. :)

    Still after some tips please...... Lil girlie is still with us, been in and out of the house, had 2.5 beroccas and tlc.....she is eating although her breastbone is sticking out. She was struggling to get on her perch in the coop so popped her on to it for a cple of nights, we had left her cage...

    This is the one thing thats freaking me.....all our snakes are deadly...horrid things. The 'palace' area and coop are being built to be completely pest (fox/snake/raptor) proof but you cant guarantee it and i really dont want to bump into a snake.
